My 911 went up in flames. What engine parts are salvageable

If burned for quite a while until the fire department cam. Engine was not running when it caught afire. I've torn the motor down. Most stuff looks surprisingly good. Internals look excellent. The only heat damage I can see is a warped fin on one of the heads. That should give you an idea of how how this thing got though

Do those of you in the know think I should toss the case? Looks fine, but it's already a 2.7L case...I imagine an event like this would weaken the case but don't know.

Chain boxes are cheap enough that I'll probably just replace.

How about heads...can they be reused if milled flat and rebuilt?

Thanks for any advice.

Sorry to hear about your loss. If you post pictures, it'll help.

Cheers,

Paul.

So sorry to hear of your misfortune. I cant help you on determining what's salvageable.
Because of stories like yours i installed an onboard fire system in my car last month, i hope i never have to use it but am glad it's there if the need arises.

I haven't gone that far...but I won't be caught without at least an extinguisher again!

Sorry...No pics. This actually happened a year or so ago...had the car taken away the very next day (and got the engine back).
