What crank options do I have for a 3.0L case?

I'm going to be building me new engine soon and was wondering what other cranks besides the 3.0L and 3.2L fit in a standard 3.0L 930/10 case?

Thanks
Kevin

3.0 crank options

One option that Armando at CCR has been advocating to me since I have a spun rod bearing on my crank is to stroke the crank, use NASCAR bearings which he says are cheap and get a set of custom Pauter rods. You can stroke to 3.4 or so and with the NASCAR bearing and Pauter rods, get the motor to spin to 8000 (or more?) He says the "east coast guys" have him do this all the time. I just thought I'd throw this out there. You might want to call him. Best thing to do is find a cheap crank that has a spun bearing...no sense ruining a good crank that you could otherwise sell for $600. You get increased torque and a high rev motor.

so I could have my 3.0 crank stroked and obtain 3.4L with 95mm pistons?? Then I could get almost 3.6L with 98mm pistons. What about a crank from a 3.6L, would that fit in my 3.0L case? I am just trying to get as much displacement as possible out of my 3.0L, but I also want to do this and still have a reliable engine.

Thanks
Kevin

LOL

Yes we do, we also have the crank center drilled, and modify the center bearing.. We spin some of our engines up to (and sometimes over) 9000rpm.

We built a 3.9 earlier this year, and have a 3.7 in the pipeline..

Though getting custom rods and bearings isn't the most economical way

Not sure if a 3.6 crank will fit, but just an FYI that the 3.3 turbo crank will also work (it's the same as the 3.2 crank).

The 3.6 crank will fit in the 3.0-3.2 cases with no modification. You do have to clearance the oil pump if using carrillo rods.

and no need to clearance with stock 3.6 rods? What is the stroke on a 3.6 crank?

3.6 stock stroke 76.4mm , bore 100mm

Don't forget the GT3 crank. Latest design.
