Distributor Sickness

When you start seeing this kind of thing it's time to consider therapy.

John, where do we sign up for this therapy? I was just looking through my box marked "early distributors" the other day, and I still don't have the "right one"!

now I know who is squiriling away all of the parts I need...;-)

Squirrel. . . you must have me confused with the Early S Registry. . . ( Just kidding, I'm a member too)-- what you see are actually:

a pair of 001s for the 66, one of which is completely locked up from rust but with a perfect data plate, and the other of which has a scratched data plate and good mechanism;

a pair of 006s for my 65 project, one of which was recently rebuilt, the other for spare parts.

These are all going off to the rebuilder for restoration.

an aluminum body 006 from my race car which has been sticking at 2000 RPM, going off to be rebuilt today.

Now for a COLLECTION. . . http://www.glenn-ring.com/bosch/

Thanks John!
Bob

Do any of you "squirrels" have an RPM transducer for a 1971 911S MFI stashed away?:)

Sickness?

John, it seems obviously that you are only in the early stages of this progressive disease.

Henry

It must surely be a sickness to chop, rotate and reweld a Bosch 917 twin plug distributor....or do my eyes deceive me ???

Regards
John

Henry Schmidt 06-03-2008 07:06 PM

Good eye. It is a 917 distributor converted to fit a 6 cylinder 911.
