Uprating the Oil Pump in a 3.0 Case

I'm using a 3.0 case as the basis for a 3.2 supercharging project. With HP almost doubling to a goal of ~450hp it seems from common sense and some posts here that the oil pump needs to be uprated.

I'd appreciate if someone could confirm which pumps are fit-able with some minor dremelling if necessary. I am not sure if the 3 feed holes on the 964, Turbo, GT3 and GT2 pumps are all in the same location and can fit the 3.0 case. Also not sure which of those (or others) will be sufficient or overkill.

thanks

The 3.0 case will accept all the 911 oil pumps from 1965. The stock 3.0 pump and the 3.2 pump are the same in size, but the 3.2 pump has the screen made onto the pick-up tube. The best upgrade is the 3.3 turbo pump with the cast iron scavenge section. Second choice would be the 964 pump. The GT-3 pump is very nice but expensive. Henry at Supertec modifies the late model pumps for better flow. I personally think that all the 911 pumps are overkill. I have run a very early aluminum 2.0 pump in a high RPM (8800) turbo application with no problems. I refreshed that particular engine 3 times for a grand total of 150 plus race hours with no problems.

Thanks. GT3 pump received today, I'll document the modifications necessary...

Here's what you need to do to fit a GT3 oil pump to a 3.0 or SC 7R case.

By the way, anyone have a shorter oil pump drive shaft they want to sell/give me? The SC/3.0 is ~140MM, the GT3 pump wants one around 85mm.

Couldnt find the part on Pelican and the Porsche PET diagrams on the US site only go as recent as 1998.
