While I considered the 3.2 pump adequate, I dumped it when offered a full blueprinted and race machined 930 pump for my 2.3L ST replica motor. How high are you revving it?

i'm wondering if it makes sense to use a more typical 3 rib pump for higher rpm capable engines. as the pump is turned faster wouldn't the volume being pumped be sufficient at high rpms? is it possible that the later higher volume pumps would pump too much and actually cost hp at higher rpm? just a thought, not based on anything.
