2.4 rod bolts ARP or wasting $?
If i plan on running a 2.4S with "S" cams, should I get upgraded rod bolts like ARP? Is it cheap insurance, or waste of money? Believe OEM rods bolts are made by Verbus? Is that correct?

ARP bolts cost about the same as OEM bolts anyway. If you're rebuilding
the engine you'll need to throw away the OEM bolts as they can't be reused. ARP bolts can be reused, but if you do the rebuild right you shouldn't need to tear it down again for a long time. andy |

I know all about the TTY bolts, I was asking more about the failure rates on these rod bolts. I know the 9mm ones are weak. I like the fact that the ARP ones are re-usable, so will use them i guess. I have some factory ones that are still new, so could use them as well. I guess I will see how the other costs add up first.
