machining CIS pistons

Cutting pockets for valve clearances?

I want to rebuild this 2.7 and use my 's' cams.

Call Ted Robinson at German Precision in Sunnyvale. He should be able to tell you how much you can machine from CIS pistons. He may also know if it's possible to get enough material off to use "S" cams. 408-747-0728.

You might be better off just getting a used set of 2.7 RS pistons and cylinders. I've seen them on Pelican for a few hundred dollars.
