camshaft timing
Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I've turned the crankshaft so the z mark lines up with the case parting line, put tension on the chains, adjusted intake valve for cylinder one, set up the dial indicator, placed the alignment pin and turned the crank til I got the proper intake valve overlap value. The book says I should get this reading a little short of 360 degrees. I dont get the reading till I'm about 1/4 inch past the z mark. Am I doing something wrong? Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Jason |
Cam Timing
Just faced the same issue myself. Go to this link for a better explanation by John Walker than I can do. Good luck!
