GE80 Cams and Valve Springs
Hi there,
I am trying to find out what the recommended valve spring open pressure is for GE80 cams in a motor which spins to 7500 or maybe a bit higher on a rushed downchange. I have searched the archives, but can't find a specific reference. Does anyone know? Cheers, How. |

Not sure of the exact values, but I know that Henry, Steve Weiner and Camgrinder all have valves that are specifically designed for these applications.

Generally speaking, 280-300 lbs on the intake, 260-280 lbs on the exhaust side will work to 7500 rpm. Titanium valves reduce the required open pressure.
