78 CIS to Carrera Electromotive

I am in process of rebuilding a 78 3.0 and dropping into 77 narrow body with the following base line mods.
New 9.8 C/R Mahle cylinders and pistons, carrera intake system with electromotive ECU and crankfire ignition, wide band Oxegen sensor, cam sensor(sequential), DR-20 cams, SSI's and monty. 90% street, 10% track
Need to replace fuel pump and supply and return lines to tank. Will stock carrera fuel lines work as routed on my 77 chassis?
With ethonol creeping into our gas, I plan on installing fuel water separator. Mount on line or load side of fuel filter?
Undecided on carrera oil pump or 964 pump. Sound recommendations?
All machine and balancing work will be done by comp. engineering.
Looking to build a strong dependable 240-250HP engine.

Let us know how this works...I am planning the same thing on my 83SC motor. Carrera intake, cams, but will rus MS.

I have the small port heads, but from what I have read - that is great for a street/DE car.

Good luck.

Fuel Line Questions

I don't know about the Carrera fuel lines, but I would ask why are you replacing the lines from the tank?
I am not the expert, but I have a 3.2L in a '77. I did replace the fuel pump to work with the Motronic system when I dropped mine in. Also, I changed the short fuel line to the pump because the banjo fitting for the larger CIS fuel pump does not work on the later model motronic fuel pump.

I'm doing a simular thing, but I'm keeping my 77 CIS fuelpump and lines. It should work just fine.
