1st engine drop

I'm removing the engine from my 86 930 for the 1st time and I have a question regarding the removal of the large (steel braided) oil line that goes from the left (driver) side of the engine to the oil thermostat. Both ends are fairly obstructed, but it appears that the connection to the thermostat is somewhat more accessible. I'd appreciate any advice from those of you that have accomplished a drop of a turbo motor.

I've included a few pictures and you can see that the connection to the motor is very difficult to get access to without removing the exhaust first. Whereas, the connection to the thermostat is (more better) accessible.

Regards, Dave

Back when I did this on my 88 3.2 I cleaned up the connections and used PB Blaster on them for a few days. I may have used a propane torch as well. Large wrenches are your friend here and I think Pelican even sells specific ones for the job but I did not need them. I was a little surprised it was not harder to remove than it was but the PB Blaster may have had something to do with that.
