Oil Ratings
What "S" rated oil off the shelf, would be better to use?
"S-*" Would an "S-F" rated oil provide more protection than an "S-J" or "S-M" rated oil?

You're gonna get mad at me, but I really must tell you to take the time to read & digest the Oil Thread here on Pelican. Its VERY educational.  An SF, SH, SJ rated oil contains more ZDDP than SL & SM rated oils so they are the preferred products for air-cooled engines.

That is what I was thinking, after reading a lot of the "manuscript" on the "Oil Thread" I was realizing that the older S-F rated oils appeared to contain more of the additives. Thanks, Tony.
