Anybody heard of..

SR Exotic in Livermore, CA? I can't find them anywhere and the phone number is disconnected. Are (were) they a good Porsche engine rebuilder?

Thanks.

I grew up and now work in Livermore, and live in Pleasanton. Never heard of 'em. While I'm not thrilled with the new ownership, the mechanics at Kahler's (Dublin) are excellent.

I know a good rebuilder in temecula area. He did my 3.0 for 1,500 labor (includes cleaning and paint). i had to buy the parts myself, mostly rings and some seals. it was 3 years ago.. did a great job. He cleaned it up real well, hot tanked, and does the machine work himself. He loves aircooled engines. builds 914, vw bus, ang ghia engines also. Also he painted everything himself. Does it as a hobby. Thats why it took 8 weeks and you have to bring the engine to him. His HOA wont allow anything in the front of his housw. email me..if you are interested.

The only rebuilder I know of in the Temcula area (Fallbrook) is Supertec. GREAT work.
