Borrow P202 (Camshaft tool)?

Live in West Sacramento and putting on left and right timing chain housings.

Can I borrow P202 camshaft tool from someone local? I'd be happy to put a deposit down if it'd make you feel more comfortable.

Hope to hear from someone by this afternoon.

Thanks guys.

Is that the early or late style?
I have late-style in Pleasanton, but will be out of town tonight -> Sunday. I then will be USING the tool as my heads go back on next week. You are more than welcome to borrow mine.

Thanks for the offer AFM744, but doesn't look like it won't work out. Rebuilding a 2.7L (1976). I think that requires the "old" one. Thanks for the offer though. I was born and raised in Walnut Creek . . . and my folks still live there.

Maybe one day we'll pass one another and exchange a porsche wave on 680 SmileWavy

A Porsche Wave? Here in CA?
Sorry I couldn't help out and best luck on your build!

Good afternoon:

If you don't find one, I will be home after the holidays(Sunday) and I have the tool as well as a 46 mm crowsfoot if you need.

Ended up trading pelicanparts the tools for cash. Now I'll have to find another engine (this time a 3.0L) to rebuild to substantiate the purchase . . .

Thanks guys. If anyone needs to borrow the tool in Sacramento area, drop me a line.

P202 and 46mm crowfoot

Hey Eric,

Do you still have these tools? My newer 3.0 has a broken stud so now I have to do a complete tear down. :( As you know I was going to try and get away with a top end job on the 3.0 and a full rebuild on the 2.7. This is way more than I wanted to take on but hey it's a Porsche right?

Let me know how your project is coming along and if I could borrow your tools.

Kevin

yeah

I have the tools still and you're welcome to borrow. Let me know when you're working on the car and we'll figure out how to get the tools to you.

The 3.0 has the different nut system to the 2.7 - different tools, sorry. The 3.0 has a bolt in the end of the cam. The 2.7 has the wicked nut.

The bolt on the cam came in 81 or 82 before that I use a 17mm, nice long open end on the flats.
