Which cam to pick

ok...here is where i'm at. i have an 88 3.2 with 10.3:1 cr and i started going to track more. so i decided to install AASCO valve spring kit and ARP rod bolts for safety. and i thought while i am there, that i should change my cams, add 1 5/8 European Racing Headers, 2 1/8 Phase 9 mufflers, extrude hone the intake manifold, polish the intake and exhaust ports, get a ported throttle body and Steve Wong chip. but i'm stuck on 3 cam choices. the C2 cams, the Jerry Woods GE 3.2 - 3.6 cams, or the Web Cam 20/21. i'm looking for the cam that can give me the most power but still be streetable for this daily driver. i just need some helpful guidance on which one to pick and some of the pro's and con's of these cams. AND if this intake/exhaust/cam combo is correct. any help and is appreciated. thanks in advance and Happy Thanksgiving.

Hi,

I might offer a few words of advice if I might,...

1) Use C2 cams for track use. They will still pass CA smog, too.

2) Leave the ports alone. They support well over 325 HP in stock form and its VERY easy to ruin them with well-intentioned but misplaced changes.

3) Make sure you plumb your muffler system correctly. Attaching the mufflers directly to the collector flanges makes more noise than power. I won't tell you precisely what to do, but I'd kindly suggest you study the race muffler system pictured on our website for cues about what works best. :)

Your engine should run very well, especially if you install good close-ratio gears. :)
