72 T MFI microswitch

I recently purchased a 72T with MFI. I've got it running okay, but when trouble shooting noticed it didn't have a throttle micro swithc on the stack. Don't see any wiring either. Did all MFIs have this switch? or?
My 72S has one. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Most folks remove it; it was there for emissions purposes and is a typical cause of numerous problems related to popping and farting in the intake tract. Keep it off unless you are going concours. Even then, install and disconnect.

thanks

It's just a driver and long range project or?
Thanks again for the quick reply.

Actually, it is there for fuel economy and to keep the engine from loading up on overrun. Search here for "speed switch" and "early_s_man" and then report back with questions.

I went through great pains to get the fuel shutoff circuit back to working order.

The microswitch and solenoid worked but I needed to buy and refurbish the RPM transducer.

It makes a big difference. Better fuel economy, a crisper exhaust note, and better throttle response- engine braking is much better now. There is much less "popping" from the exhaust. Anything now is just little lean "ticking" noises at idle with the high-overlap cams.
