2.7 fresh motor
 

I am wondering about webber carbs on the 2.7, I want to use the carbs from my 2.4 on the new engine and hoped someone could guide me along on piston and cam choices for a reliable power band through out the revs using those webbers? The engine is complete but I need to purchase suitable cams.
Also I wondering about choice of a Carrera style oil cooler (front fender) or any after market suggestions anyone may have good experience with. The car is a 66 911 with a non original motor but everything else is or will be as be stock.

Peter I am traveling today, but could possible give you a little info. I have a 70 914-6 with a 2.7 euro carrera spec motor, S cams, euro rs pistons and webers that have been reworked by eurometric some time ago. The engine pulls strong, the only problem I have is not having enough rubber on the road.

The carbs will work fine, regardless of pistons and cams - you will jsut need to rejet them to suit.

40s with larger venturi and re jeted. I have specs at the shop, will send them later today

There are some cams on ebay right now, specifically an SC and 964 grind for the 2.7. Do some searching on these profiles to determine which you prefer. Pretty good price I think.
