who built this engine

I recently bough this 1970 911 T. The engine was rebuilt and signed. Does one know who could have done this in the south east. See picture.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1232680031.jpg

It looks to me like that engine rebuild was orchestrated by some guy, Lombardo. ;)

Was probably done long before email. It's true, there was something before the web. Some say a more civilized age.

The date looked like 1/05, but it is hard to read. Maybe 1/85 or 1/95.

What is that first word? - "previously"? Then who built it the "last" time?

What does "16,000 miles" mean - is that how long that "previous" rebuild lasted????

I read it as "Proudly built...", so the 16,000 miles would be the mileage when rebuilt, which is not a lot.

I read it as precisely built, as if one might want an imprecise rebuild?

From the pics, it's clear that Lombardi -- "Hey, what the hell is going on out there!" -- hasn't been around that engine in some time.
