Wanted Local 915 Rebuilder Shop
Wanted Local 915 Rebuilder Shop, in Portland OR/Seattle WA area. I was told that there's a shop in Seattle that worked on a friend of mines G50/50 racing transmission. But I am not able to get a hold of my friend since he moved to the east coast and changed his C#. So I am trying to figure out who this is. Any help would be appreciated.

German Transaxel of America in Bend, OR is close - ish. 800-892-4327
They did mine 5 years ago. Amazing service. I sent it up with my parents when they were visiting my sister. Dropped off at 9 AM, I got a call at 1130 with the diagnosis. Cleaned and ready for pickup by close of business. I recall a $350 rebuild labor charge, I paid another $300 for a 2/3 slider and new bearings and synchros. I had a chance to visit last year as they were preparing to move to another Bend location. Great people. Amazing amount of cores, parts and history threre. They dyno test. All German, like the name says - Porsche, VW, Audi and BMW. They rework 356 trannys, and guard those parts carefully. If I lived anywhere they would be my first choice. Since you are in Oregon you have no better choice. |
