3.6 piston install question

Hi All:

I'm getting ready to install OEM pistons in my 3.6 motor. The intake and exhaust pockets that are cast into the piston dome look to be the same diameter. There is an "E" cast in the middle of one of the pockets. Can I assume this is intended to mean EXHAUST side?

According to the Bentley book, the E goes toward the intake valve. The "1" is the tolerance group (99.970-99.980), the two vertical marks are the weight class, and the "/15" is the manufacturer's mark.

Hey Don! I'm putting together a 3.6 for my friend in San Diego. This will be a full rebuild THIS TIME. His wife spun a rod bearing AXing his C4.

Just dyno'd a 2.0S this past weekend.....check it out. 2.0S Video
