Super clean and neat.
BTW, what rings did you use for the Alusil p/c? It seems to be against consensus to reuse Alusil p/c. And yours are for racing  |
Goetze nikasil rings. people have used nikasil rings in the past and not had a problem about 90% est. as long as the barrels were in tolerance and straight and prepped properly. the rings will seat. (info from EBS, I am very happy to deal with them, especially Troy).

Did you powder coat or paint your valve covers and fan? If not, what did you do? They look great!

Fan is powder coated, valve cover is painted and put in the oven baked, almost get murder by the wife.

Steve,
Thanks for leaving a clear record of your engine rebuild. I have an '87 Carrerra with excessive leakdown on two cylinders. I have not worked 911's so seeing the pictures of a 3.2 engine were very helpful. Dutch (...my other Porsche) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1251166945.jpg |
Beautiful 550 is it really weight 550 kg ?
|
I haven't determined the weight yet. It is more like a go kart than a car, though.

I think this is the true meaning of power to weight ratio, new car just too heavy, have fun cheers.
