rebuild

ok so i have the chance to get a 911 block, just a bare block

i was wondering how hard is it to pick up new parts. and even building it up to a mild turbo engine??? also were a good site to look a engine part prices?

now my budget is about 4-5g is this a possible goal? ill do all my own work and i have a guy here local that is a porsche rebuilder so i can have him look over my build so i know the build will go smoothly

Parts are available, both new and used. Generally it's cheaper to buy a complete engine than try to buy all the parts separately. Buying all new parts for a 911 engine could cost several times more than buying a complete engine.

I found a 69 motor 2.0 for 3800
the engine was in the back of a "rust bucket" as the owner put it. The webers r off but its all there and he said it runs

How much would a basic rebuild be? The rebuild should have new pistons and ring cylends to make it into a 2.4L? Ill have the heads ported and pollished?

Thats not an engine you want to turbo and you need to turbo through
efi. Work in the 3.0 area and then you can modify standard items to work with a turbo
