Tolerances for boring 80mm barrels to 81mm
hi all,
does anyone know the tolerances to specify when having 2.0 litre Biral barrels bored and honed to 81mm (most likely for use with 81mm JE pistons)?

mike/john,
thanks for the replies. am i correct the .08mm suggested clearance means the bore size should be the piston diameter (say 81mm for example) at the measure point plus 2 x .08mm? any idea what tolerance should be put on that calculated diameter?
