Keep T Cams or Go E

Well Im doing a reseal on my 2.4 T engine and had the heads sent in for a top end job. Since I have everything disassembled I'm thinking cams now. Can I simply switch to E cams from the T cams? It has MFT that is set up for the T engine. I know sending the pump in to change it to E specs is the "right" way to do things but thats another grand that I dont have right now. Thanks.

Simply switching cams from T to E will not deliver much benefit.

To really see the difference in the cams, you need the bigger port heads like the 2.2/2.4E. A set of higher CR pistons like the 2.2E would also help realize the full benefit of the cams.

There might also be an interference issue between T pistons and E cam-controlled valves.

You will confirm of course before proceeding.
