Question Adjusting cold start system

Anybody know how to adjust a cold start system on a 77 2.7CIS? I'm trying to bring the idle up a little on the cold start.

The cold [warm-up] idle rpm is controlled buy the Idle Air By-pass regulator. Located between cylinder 5&6 intake manifold runners. No easy adjustment-replace it. Were assuming your fuel system warm-up regulator is working properly. Ck. it first?

It seems to be. I get spray from the cold start injector. Don't know how else to check Idle Air Bypass regulator. The engine will start from cold but it idles very low (my guess about 300/400 rpm). I want to get more idle speed so I have good oil pressure on start up. After warmup all is good.

Just off the top of my head, the air bypass is suposed to show 35 ohms on a meter to be good

you can put a plug on eather side of the Idle Air By-pass regulator. If that makes no difference when cold, just replace it.

OK, just to clarify (I can't find any documentation on the "Idle Air By-pass regulator"). Are you refering to the warm up regulator? If so, how do you plug up "either side" There's just one vacuum line. The other two are fuel and one is electrical.

Do you mean this part (I am calling the warm up regulator)...

You might try looking for Auxiliary Air Regulator also, goes by a couple of different names.
