Hi list

I saw a really good thread for this a few months ago but I can't locate it.... Could I trouble one of you for the link?

Cheers

Thanks for that. There was another one that went into more of the mechanical aspects.... shift rod adjustment, fuel pump etc...

What would you like to know? What year car do you have? The 3.2 fuel pump uses a lower pressure than the CIS and is mounted by the fuel tank instead of the engine area.
The older 915 trans needs notches cut into the bell for the flywheel sensors and has slightly different gearing but will work fine. No shift rod adjustment. Clutch cable is different for early 915 compared to later one. Wiring is not too difficult to adapt.
You will need the wiring harness and DME mounted under the drivers seat.
There are also minor changes for the heat depending on which year exhaust you use.
Some will jump on you and tell you to do a search, but others will answer questions.
Be patient waiting for replies, but I say don't be afraid to ask if a search doesn't work out for you.

Thanks for the info... I'm putting the 3.2 in a SWB 912. Should be fun!
Do you happen to have a pic of the fuel pump mounting location? I might do a search now.

I did read in a posy on t his topic how someone had to shorten the shift shaft that runs down the middle of the car.

Thanks again

Glad you found it. I'll try and take a picture of how I mounted my fuel pump. My camera isn't very good.

I took 2 pieces of sheet metal and rounded them to fit the axle and fuel pump, then I welded them together with a spacer to leave room for the hose clamp.

Thanks again for the pic....

Any thoughts re. the diameter for the fuel supply and return lines?
