Srp tensioner tool

Hi all have any of you used the Smart racing tensioner tool I was thinking about
getting a set for adj cam timing it would save me from removing tensioners to
put mechanical tensioners in for the adjustment but I was wondering if they
tightened the chains enough. Thanks Palmer

I'm not familiar with them. I don't know how you could adjust cam timing with the tensioners installed. They will extend when you undo the cam nut/bolt and you won't be able to colapse them unless you remove them.

Andy you can remove the cam bolt from the cam without the sprocket coming off
the sprocket runs on a pilot if you hold the outside of the sprocket when the bolt
is removed you can remove the pin and reinstall the bolt and washer to start adjusting the timing. I have been using mechanical tensioner during adjustment
but that requires removing the other tensioners thats why want to try the SRP
tools. Palmer
