930 Rocker Arm Bushings
Hi gang,
I'm planning to re-bush my rocker arms ('82 3.0L STD) and would like to know if anybody has used this company before (image below) and what their experience is with them. OR... have experience with a different bushing company? Thanks for you input... ************************************************** ********** This bushing dealer "American Sleeve Bearing" describes the bushing tolerances for their recommended ZM 1820-25 bushing as: ID = .709/.710" OD =.789/.790" L = +/- .005" Grooves are 1/8" Deep by 1/16" Wide Oil Hole Standard Size is 1/8" NOTE: ZM is made from oil impregnated (sintered bronze), not cast bronze. The following form explains how bore sizing needs to be determined for a press fit for these parts. ![]()

Hi,
I've not heard of, much less used those products. We have our bushings made for us in a thickness that allows proper fitment and honing after the rocker arm bore is straightened out. Many of these were bored improperly at the factory and both the bushing bore and rubbing pads are not parallel with the camshaft resulting in excess wear. I'd kindly suggest that you take the time to ensure everything is square & parallel when your rockers are rebuilt.
