Fuel tank repair/removal

I have a 1974 911T that has a very leaky fuel tank. Any tips on removal appreciated. It seems like the main seam in the middle of the tank has broken welds. Should I re-weld or just buy a new tank?

Remove the 2 lines on the bottom and the 3 retainers on the top edge of the tank. Undo the hose connection and the wire to the sending unit.
With the front of the car in the air on stands, use a floor jack and a 2x6 about a foot long and jack up the tank loose from its sponge type seal. Lift out.
I dont know where you are but we just resealed one in NC at a rediator shop and it came back sealed and absolutely gorgeous for about $100
