Oil in the intake ports ?

I just rebuilt my 964 racing motor. I started it up and I have a bunch of oil coming from the exhaust. So much so, that after it runs for a while I can wipe the inside of the exhaust and get oil on my hands.

I pulled a few plugs and found a bunch of oil on the plugs so I decided to pull the motor to take it down and see what was going on.

I pulled the intake off and I can see that on every cylinder that has the intake valve shut, there is about a table spoon of oil sitting on the valve.

I pulled a rocker so that I could see where the intake valve comes though and I can see something white, so I am assuming that the shop put the intake valve seals on.

I felt up and around inside the intake and I am getting a little oil up in the intake, but I have nothing that would actually bring the oil up into the intake. No vacuum lines are hooked up other than one for the MAP sensor.

Any thoughts on what this might be.

Thanks

Ed
