2.7 euro
Looking at the piston and cylinder sets sold at this site. For the 74-77 2.7L there are USA and Euro. Are the euro cars CIS? The picture for the Euro looks like a standard type dome with valve pockets. Are the Euro type usable on the USA engine? Or are many more mod's needed to be done to use these? Here are the sets I inquiring about.

Well I went through 4 pages, I can see that your engine had the Euro pistons with USA CIS cams, do you know if your engine was used with a USA CIS system? My big question is can these pistons be used on a stock USA CIS engine or will I need more modifying? I know I should go whole hog with cams and carb, and I might just do that but that's a very large expense.

The 2.7 euro would be the RS pistons, 8.5/1 cr used with the early cams.

The 73,4 and 5 euro cars had available the Carrera which in Europe was powered with the RS engine, mechanically injected
The US Carrera was powered by the 2.7S engine with CIS Bruce |
