porsche 911 78sc head studs

Hi All,

I am new to the forum and have a question about the head studs. So the engine is (1978 911sc) apart and I took all of the dilavars out including a broken one. I measured the dilavar diameter at the threaded area and was 9.93mm, but the steels are only 9.88 ( I had an old one from ny 73 911 sitting around). I put the steel stud in the hole and it is a little looser that the dilavar stud. Is that OK and will it make any difference. Thanks, Farman

By the time you run it in all 25mm there wont be any play but to make sure I would put some blue locktite to keep it there.
