Question Crank bearing oil journals

Just wondering...
I'm getting ready to send my case to the shop and was wondering why the oil outlets on the other side of the case are not drilled? Is this a modification that should be done?

The bearings are oiled from the other half of the case. I don't know of anyone that has done the mod you suggest.

After a closer look at the picture it looks like the holes you circled are at the bottom of the case. Most of these throughbolt holes are not pressure fed with oil so all you'd be doing is bleeding off oil that could be used to lube your bearings.

marks

What you are looking at is the oil holes from the bearings that were in that half of the case that transfered a witness mark to the case, as all the (2 thru 6) bearings have oil holes in them.
