Need advice on heads for 2.8L build

Looking for info on what port size and valve size to go with for a 2.8L build (long stroke). Going to be using 2.7L heads (from a 74' no smog ports).
Also looking to go twin plug with these cylinder heads.
Engine will be used for a street car (914-6).

Thanks in advance!

Dominic

What cams will you be running??

Head specifications depends on RPM range and required airflow therefore camshaft profile determines what head configuration you need.

Steve,
I would like some advice on the Cam as well. I would love to build an engine with a broad torque band. I don't want an "S" profile with all of the HP/torque at 7000rpm, looking for something with a usable band of torque for a fast street car.
Thanks for your help!

Dominic

Hi Dominic,

I'd recommend a Solex cam for a good 2.8 but be careful about compression ratio if you need to run on pump gas.

Stock 2.7 heads, suitable modified for the 92mm P/C's, will serve you very well.
