ovesize bearings to a 2.7 block? where?

is there a company that sells oversize main bearings for a 2.7 block?
havent found any...is it worth the hassle?
the block is othervise good, but my guess is that it needs some machining.
the block is in stock size.

i would have a possibility to use a 901/02 block or a 901/09 block instead...
for a screamer project...with 90mm high comp slugs.
what would you do?

thanks for any infohttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1256739355.jpg

If your looking for oversize bearings for a ground crank they are available here and other suppliers. If you need oversize for a line bored case I believe they can only be purchased from the Porsche dealer.

Hmmm, its for the block. So i have to ask, from Porsche dealer then. Thank you! :-)

Bearings for an oversized mainbore OR an undersized crank are priced like gold.

I have a perfect .01" under crank that would make a nice lamp.

Bruxe is right. Thats my 68 s block. But the whole thing sounds like 911 blocks are not so great to rebuild... :-(

Instead of increasing the size of the mains and using oversize bearings ($$) you would do better to just have the case resized.
Resizing = taking a little off the case halves and reboring the shaft holes back to standard.
Competition Engineering or Ollies can do it for you.
