Do Cam Housings Need To Be Torqued Again After Rebuild?

Just curious if the cam housing nuts need to be torqued again or checked. I have over 8K on my rebuild and I am doing a valve adjust tomorrow. Figured that I would ask since I will have her opened up.

What about the rocker shafts? I don't have a torque wrench small enough to get in there. Should I try to tighten them by feel or leave them alone if they haven't walked any?

You can only retorque 4 of the 6 and they remain tight after the build with the spring washers under them, I wouldnt worry. It is considered proper to check the rocker shafts as if they move they are a open oil leak right to the heat boxes.
If they arent a problem dont look too close or you ll think a problem.

Thanks. Everything looked good - no rocker shaft movement, no leaks.

The best kind of valve adjustment is the kind where nothing needs adjusting :). Everything was on the money.
