Shimming or machining after head cut

92’ - 964 - 3.6.
I had the heads cut .010in (.254mm). Do I need to compensate in any way by shimming or machining other components?

It should be OK. If you want to keep it at stock height the standard cylinder base gasket (copper) is .25mm so a .50mm would do the job. Biggest problem with fly cutting the heads is heads and cams move closer to the crank, the chains will act like they are longer and problems will arise with the cams centering in the chain box. This should not be a problem with just .25mm.
