Positioning of large saucer shaped washers on engine and trans mounts?

It seems I'm missing my reassebly pics on the motor and trans mounts (71 911 e). It looks from the manuals that they are installed with the saucer facing away from the mount. In other words the low point is closest tithe mount and the washer flares away from the mount.

Is this correct? Also it shows one washer above and below on both engine and trans mounts but I only have six from my car. Is one washer above and one below the correct application?

Thanks

You should have 8. Flares facing out is the softer option flares in is harder.

Subsequent research shows that several type 911 transmissions with a "die casting" nose cover use only two washers, there are then two aluminum spacers that make up the absence of the two upper washers. If you look in the PET catalog it will confirm this, 2 washers and two spacer for certain type 911 trans and 4 washers and no spacers for other 901 trans.

I was pretty meticulous about my notes and photos and show only the two bottom washers being present as well. Anybody else have this setup on their type 911 trans?
