Connecting Rod Part Number?

Hi,

I am investigating a set of connecting rods. I have searched the internet for 1/2 an hour (at least). I can't find any information.


This is the part number; 964 121.8R

Help, as always is greatly appreciated. Thanks

That number doesnt show up, what rod are you looking for?

Thanks for replying. That is what I found. But that is the number that is stamped into the rods. The owner claims that they are 964 RSR. They are used, I wonder if they would be a better rod than a standard 993? There are only 5 of them.

The 993 rods are beamed rods, different from previous 911 rods.

993 rods are different, but I have found two different people say that the 964 and 993 RSR used the same connecting rod. However, I have not come accross anything other than what someone has posted; it is not the same as seeing it listed with the part number.

993RSR rods are a 993.103.020.80 and don't fit a 993 crankshaft. The 993RSR used a 964-based crank with wider journals.

Thanks Steve. Is the crank a standard 964, or a special RSR eddition? Here is a picture. They only have a casting number, and no part number.

The 993RSR crank was specially prepared 964 production item.
