Oil pressure

I just got done with my 2.7. I took it apart to make it leak free and install case savers. The oil pressure before and after is the same. I have over 100 (mechanical guage goes to 100 and needle pegs) psi cold, and fully warm 10w30 i have about 5 or 6 psi. I am wondering if that is normal, my low oil pressure light doesnt come on, and I am wondering if I can do something to bump the hot idle pressure up. I have the restrictors on the cam housings as well. Thanks

The oil light doesnt comeon because the switch is right above the oil pump. Low pressure warm will improve with 20/50 oil. The concern is you have flow but pressure is the resistance to flow.

Thanks Bruce, but I am still wondering if my pressure is somewhat normal, or if it something to worry about. Hot idle is 5 or 6 psi, and if i blip the throttle, it jumps to anywhere from 40 to 70, depending on my revving the engine. Do the oil pressure relief springs control warm pressure in any way. I feel psi is a little low, but I am sure the engine is tight. I am just wondering if I am overlooking something

I wouldnt worry about anything, change the weight of the oil. The springs only work when you have excess pressure. At idle you will have what looks like low oil pressure but remember the reading is taken when all the gallies are being filled except the cams.
