strange noise
After timing my motor(2.2),I installed the rockers, everything went well. I went to rotate the crank, and about halfway through I heard a "ting" sound. the crank kinda caught for a split second, but rotated around. The motor turns freely and the sound was just that one time.I don't see anything out of order, like bits of parts, so I am confused. My gut instinct is to take the tensioner off, pull the cam nut and check the sprockets. This would mean a re time, but peace of mind.Would I have to take the rocker arms back out or can they stay put? Any other ideas, stuff to look for?

You should be able to see enough of the sprockets to check them by rotating the crankshaft with the chain covers off. You want to make sure the chains are routed correctly on the sprokets and the links aren't "catching" on the teeth. Might want to double check your sproket alignment.
If you are going to remove the sprokets you might be able to just back off the rocker adjuster screws enough to keep the cam from turning. -Andy
