3.2 conversion from 3 liter vs 2.7

I have a 76 with a 2.7 and have stumbled on to a guy with a 3.2 with all the conversion parts [so he says] to a 3.0 with a 915 gearbox like mine. So the questions are 1. will the conversion parts all be appropriate for my 2.7 and 2. just what should be included in the conversion parts so I can make sure I'm not stuck buying more or different parts.
thanks...jack

The 3.2 should have the wiring harness, DME, dme relay, & altitude sensor, which mount under the drivers seat. Some wiring mods are needed. You should also have the 3.2's fuel pump and filter. Some adapting of the fuel lines. The transmission will need some cutting to the housing to clear the flywheel sensors. It also needs the right flywheel. Is the exhaust included? I put an 86 3.2 in my 73.5, which is a little different. I bought mine with an 86 transmission, since my 73 trans needed a rebuild anyway. It needed a little work to adapt the axles to the transmission. There are a few posts on this if you search.
What shape is the 3.2 in? I was told that mine had @70,000 miles on it. The valve guides were worn. I had the heads redone with new guides and exhaust valves, plus I put in new rings while I was in there. Have a leak down test done. It always cost more than you thinkGood luck

the exhaust is included, the flywheel is one of my big concerns [I think he said it was an early 80's carerra]. The mileage is unknown??? but leak downs are supposedly around 10% across the board. The engine is in the shop that removed it so I hope to learn more [oil press etc] from them when we can see it I just put a new "universal" for my car fuel pump this fall, I wonder if it will work?
