Where to connect vacuum for distributor? I've changed my zenith carbs, to USDM zenith carbs, ant they seem to be missing one vacuum port where my distributor was hooked previously. Can someone help me please and guide me where to connect it? :)

drill into the manifold on 1 and 4. install and seal metal tubing in the drill hole and hook vacuum lines, T the vacuum line and connect to the distributor.

What if I would hook it to any existing vacuum port via T?

You need 2 vacuum ports to give enough vacuum but more important is what the vacuum does. In the mid70s cars it was a retard for emission control, not an advance mechanism of high RPMs. If its a retard you dont need it.

What year engine do you have? And what was the original method of intake?

I suspect the vacuum for the distributor came from the throttle body when at idle in order to retard the distributor when the engine was at operating temperature. When the accelerator was applied the vacuum was released and the distributor was advanced by weights and springs.

So if I am correct it will do nothing for you by hooking it up to a constant source of vacuum, it will probably lessen your distributors ability to mechanically advance.

Plug the vacuum pod on the distributor and set your timing a few degrees advanced from stock.

its 2.4T EDM. And yes vacuum retards the ignition. So I'm better of without it? Thank you for your advices ;)

Yes, you are better off without it.

Also, it is pretty important to plug the heater holes in your engine surround tin. If not you will suck lots of dirt and debris into your engine area. It also reduces the ability of your engine to cool properly. You can epoxy a small piece of metal cut a little bigger than the hole to the underside of the tin.
