Type of sealant to use?

what type of sealant would be used to seal a brass screw-in fuel pressure gauge into an aluminum fuel rail? My friend is having problems with it leaking. Thanks in advance. This is not a porsche project, but know there are very smart guys here.

Are the threads on the gauge pipe threads? If so, use the teflon tape you can get a plumbing supply. Tighten the gauge snuggly, do not overtighten.

If the threads are are a machine thread, try using a copper crush washer.
