Question Oil Hose, High Pressure, High Heat

I installed my rebuilt engine -- a 2.4 liter 911T engine with 2.4S pistons, cylinders, heads, throttle bodies and stacks, 911E cams and injection pump (oil bypass mod done and 3.0 oil pump installed) in a 1972 911. After a few dumb problems, like the MFI drive belt was off the pulley and it would not start, the car fired up and runs. It still isn't running really well, but it's running. But my problem is that there seems to be really high oil pressure and the engine seems to run really hot. I did not think to look at the oil temp gauge because I became more concerned with what I found below, but I accidentally touched the exhaust with my forearm and it burned the poop out of it. The engine just feels hot as hell.

Anyway, the thing that concerned me was that the oil hose that goes to the oil cooler developed a bulge -- like a scary looking bubble about 1.5 inches to 2 inches in diameter on the bottom side near the cooler attachment point. It really looks like it might pop, which would be terrible. I am ordering a new hose today and don't plan to drive the car until I resolve the cause(s) of all of this. I am really concerned because I just don't understand what this means. To begin with, I thought that was a "suction hose", but the bulging looks like it was caused by really high pressure. I have a strong feeling that the oil bypass modification has something to do with this pressure. Is there any way to know? But that may not make sense because the "suction hose" is bulging, which means it is not sucking (but the opposite?).

Also, I am sure the engine is running awfully hot, which could clearly be related to an oil circulation problem. Right? Does anyone have any clue what this all means? What could cause these problems? Has anyone else ever seen such a thing? Thanks in advance for your advice!

Is item #33 the hose with the bulge? It is a suction line and should not be under pressure. What are your oil pressure and rpm readings? I do not know much about the oil pressure bypass mod, so hopefuly somone more familiar with it will know if it could cause this if done improperly.
Do you have an external oil cooler? If so, are both lines getting hot?

I don't know if or why your engine is getting hot. The exhaust is supposed to get very hot, the gasses are above 1000 degrees! The suction hoses can deteriorate (especially 40 year old ones!). You should replace the one labeled 31 as well. Mine was almost obstructed from delaminating. I'd wait until you replace these hoses and look at the temperature guage before worrying about how hot the engine is getting. The bypass mod will not change your oil pressure. The pressure relief valves should be keeping your pressures safe. Mine will get to 120 PSI or so when cold. Also there are different pressure senders. If you have an SC sender it maxes out at 75 PSI so it will read 150 on your guage when the pressure is really 75.

Hi. Yes, number 33 is where I have the bulge. I have found and ordered a new one. I think I was wrong. The pressure does not seem high (~30 PSI at idle). I think the heat may be as simple as incorrect timing. Thanks for your advice.
