engine identification

Can somebody help me figure out what year and type engine I have?
The number by the fan housing looks like: star 64103165 star.
It is obviously fuel injected and has a distributor with no points- just a rotor and some advance/ retard cams and springs towards the base of it's body. I don't even know where the spark plug's impulses get triggered from.
The chassis is a 1974, but the engine is obviously a lot newer- as is the body style, which is circa 1990 or so.
It ran great when I parked it in the barn about 4 or 5 years ago. But now with a new battery, a gallon of new high test the engine spins fast but shows no spark. I do detect the acetone smell of old gas after doing this, but it also will not even pop with a touch of starter spray to confirm the no ignition diagnosis.

The S/N indicates a 1981 SC engine.

Type # should be 930/16
