This problem could be easily fixed if there was a captcha on the
registration page.

That would defeat bots.

Restricting posting to members who registered > 24 hours ago
would defeat humans. It's just not worth their time to come
back again.

Nothing is perfect... but the reporting works well but unfortunately most people does not know it exist (find it by accident).

For those who don't know, you can report a posting by clicking on the "! in a yellow triangle" symbol at the bottom of every posting. They will check it out and remove it.
