Help with rocker arms and cams

ok, so I finally have all my parts ready for the head work on my 2.4 engine with 2.2S pistons, and will run EFI as well.

I have AASCO valve springs and Ti retainers.
Have Web-Cam "S" regrinds unused in box from many years ago.
I have 6 new rocker arms and 6 good used ones that need bushings/resurfaced.

Question #1:

From other threads, people have said you have to do something special to the rockers with the web-cam regrinds? True? IF so what?

#2

Should I just buy 6 more new rockers and call it day or have the 6 reground/rebushed? Have spent a small fortune already so do not want to skimp on them either.

#3 is there anything I need to do or consider running the AASCO springs? Like wear on cams and rockers? I know to inspect them form time to time, etc...

Thanks.

Hi,

A #1: Web-cam regrinds are VERY hard (and durable). We hard-chrome the pads on the rockers, break in the cams properly using B-P Break-in oil and run B-P 20w-50 racing oil.

A #2: I would have the rockers rebushed and refinished as needed.

A #3: No. We use AASCO springs precisely for this reason as most other race springs are tough on rockers, cam sprockets, idlers, and the aluminum intermediate shaft gears due to high seat presures. Just use a good engine oil.

Steve,

Can you PM me some pricing on the chroming and rebushing the 6 that are not new. Very interested in getting this all done correctly.

Thanks
