Valve Spring Height

Hi guys yes I have searched and cannot find. Question is I am having my heads rebuilt right now 3.0L Euro SC have reground cams to 964 profile therefore what height should valve springs be set at?

Hi Davy,

That information is in both the Porsche spec books and the factory shop manuals. :) :)

34.5mm for all.

I sure hope the people doing your heads have access to this data so they get everything in your heads correctly. Seat dimensions, guide installation procedures, and clearances are all rather critical to assure any kind of longevity.

Yes, make sure your machine shop knows what they are doing! I literally just had a machine shop come highly recommended that completely botched a set of heads. Didn't even bother checking installed spring heights with the new valves. Catastrophic foolishness.

34.5mm for stock springs, if they are using different springs then it is possible there is a prescribed height from the manufacturer.
