Aluminium intermediate plate for gearbox 911 and 914
Hello,
It is time to open my 914-01 gearbox from my 914-6 that I convert to GT specifications and would like to know if I have to buy an aluminium intermediate plate to reinforce the box or keep the originale one. The engine will be 2.0 S or 2.2 S. Thank you for your advices |

You don't HAVE to, but it will make it a lot stronger,...
 Those old mag boxes have been through plenty of heat cycles and the magnesium doesn't get better with age,... I put an aluminum IP in every 901 thats used with a bigger engine and/or will see some track use: its simply a longevity issue.
